Hummus Bath

Breaking news: Miriam can now express her opinion! And boy, does she ever. She sometimes says "yah" like in the video, but most often she waves her hand side to side to mean "no" and claps to mean "yes." Her clapping makes even the most mundane decision seem exciting and joyful. Would you like to go outside? Clap, clap, clap. Would you like some water? Applause. The downside is she now eats a little of what I prepare for her and then demands certain foods for the rest of her meal. Since she can't say which food she wants, it's a long, drawn-out guessing game. Do you want milk? No. Banana? No. Strawberries? No. Crackers? No. Bread? No. Broccoli? No. You get the idea. Nicholas had the good idea to make her a picture board so she can point to what she wants. If it works, I bet there would be a market for something like that.
