While cleaning the kitchen one evening, I couldn't find Miriam. She was there one second and gone the next. The baby gates were locked, so she had to be in one of three rooms. I looked between the refrigerator and the wall, behind the dining room curtains, even in the coat closet, though the door to it was closed and I didn't see how she could open it, go in, and then close it. Then I heard a little rustle from the pantry.
Miriam has been playing in the pantry for a while now, arranging the cans of tomato paste and stacking the cereal boxes. This was the first time she climbed IN the pantry, though. Nicholas swiftly put a baby latch on this door. I don't mind her playing in there, but I don't want her falling out of it.
On a somewhat related note, she can now go down stairs! This makes carrying laundry from upstairs to the laundry room SO MUCH EASIER. Video to come (of her going down stairs, not of me doing laundry).
