Miriam had her first hair cut yesterday. As you can see, the poor girl really needed those bangs trimmed. I've tried bows and rubber bands to keep the hair out of her eyes, but Miriam prefers the natural look. (Meaning she pulls the bows and rubber bands right out, and loose hair ornaments are a definite choking hazard.) So here's the before shot.
And here's the after! Much better. She looks older, too, especially with her two top and two bottom teeth.
And here she is wedged between the refrigerator and the wall. She went in after a toy that rolled back there. Hilarious.
Also, she got herself to standing yesterday! She's been doing what I call distracted standing - pulling up on something and then standing unassisted for 10-15 seconds as long as she isn't aware she is standing, sitting when she realizes she's standing - for several days now. And then last night, in the middle of the living room, there she was - standing by herself! She did it three times, as if to prove the first time wasn't a fluke. She's also walking pretty well while holding just one finger of someone. She turns 10 months tomorrow. Both Nic and I walked at 10 months, so maybe she will, too.

You did so well on her haircut! Isaac needs another one, but we're gonna wait till right before his birthday. Their hair grows so fast!!
